Want to come and join me on a ride called the "High Five"? The ride is 175 miles long with 12,000 feet of elavation gain. We climb over five of the most beautiful mountain passes anywhere. The ride takes around 13-14 hours to complete.

Dave Kirk and I rode the route twice in 1996 in preparation for "Cannonball". This ride is the Big Brother of Ramrod and TriPass.

It is a great ride! We need to schedule it for June or July, because we need the longest summer day possible to get out and back.

The ride leaves from the 'Y' four miles beyond Naches in predawn twilight. We ride over White Pass (4500 ft)to Packwood for a quad latte. We ride over Skate Creek Pass (3300 ft) to Longmire. We ride from Longmire up to Paradise Inn on Mt. Ranier (6,000 ft) for a cheeseburger. We descend from Paradise out the White River Guard Station and climb up Cayuse Pass (4200 ft). We continue on up to Chinnok Pass (5430 ft) and suck up goodies from a support car. Next we descend along the American River to Whistling Jack Lodge and scrounge food in the Market/Deli. It is fairly flat on back to the 'Y' beyond Naches by dusk.
