Rafeed Travel & Tours will arrange tour packages for peace lovers in the world. We prefer groups from different countries, each group raising their country flag to participate in the BIKE & HIKE, INTERNATIONAL JORDAN VALLEY MARATHON (100 km biking and 15 km hiking) along Wadi Araba toward Aqaba from the Dead Sea. There are good reasons to participate. Participants coming from different countries will have the opportunity to build friendships with other nationalities, experience new customs and learn about this part of the world. To cover this important event (a big demonstration all along the Jordan Valley ), we will invite news media, including major TV stations from Europe and the USA (CCN, ABC, etc.) to cover the event.

Group size: There is no limit on group size, each travel might participate by small number of pax. Agents from one country will cooperate and pool together in sending one group under one tour leader. Description of Program: 10 days touring, 10 days in Jordan; we start our trip visiting the Cave of Inhabitants (seven sleepers), who slept 309 years and were later on resurrected; Amman, the capital, with its old/new presence, the Roman Theater, the Citadel and museum, the new, clean Amman with its state of the art buildings and beautiful gardens; Jerash, famous for its colonnades and amphitheaters; desert camping and hiking; religious sites such as St. George’s Church in Madaba; a climb to Mt. Nebo, with its rich historical sites and archeological importance; Mukawer Church where Herod Antipas presented Salome the head of John the Baptist in order to have her dance for him; Hammamat Ma’in, to soak in hot mineral water; Dead Sea, to swim in water 4 times as dense as other seas, read newspaper while you are swimming; Aqaba; in this historical site, nice weather, and warm water in winter time, sink into the crystal-like warm water; Wadi Rum, a mystical and fascinating place to take out travelers’ worries and provide peace of mind; Petra, with its 800 monuments and ancient tombs.

The Goal of the Program: To educate and learn and expose oneself to the mysteries of the Middle East and the history of this part of the world. Further, you will meet and enjoy the company of a diverse group of people.

The Advantage of the Program: We will cover a substantial part of Jordan in an unhurried and well-structured trip. This is done in a comparatively short period of time. We will discover the lifestyle of the people and how they live, their norms and traditions.

The Expectations of the Tour: Of course, our service is always as excellent as you would expect. We care about our customers very much. We care about their safety and well-being and are equipped with all the necessary means. We are well-informed and organized and do our best (as usual) to give you value for your money.

Prizes: Under the supervision of Jordan government officials, we will reward the winners. There will be 50 valuable prizes for the first 25 winners of each the bike and hike competitions (to be kept secret until the end of the marathon), in addition to a marathon cup for the first-place winners of each competant.

Accommodations: 1-: Bus: Air-conditioned, new, modern bus, size 20-50 pax, for the duration of the program. 2-: Guides: Language-specific guides will accompany each group. The main languages are English, French, German, Italian, Spanish, Arabic and Russian, but Japanese and Chinese are rarely spoken by guides in Jordan. 3-: Local Guides and Other Services: We will pay for local guides in some sites and for horses in Petra. 4-: Trucks and Water Tank Truck: We will rent trucks for luggage, food, drinking water, soft drinks, tents and sanitation materials while camping. 5-: Food: Full board while camping. We will provide excellent food prepared by reputable cooks. 6-: Cooks and Helps: We will hire enough experienced and good cooks and helps to prepare food, serve it and do some other services. 7- One or two physicians will accompany the participants on days 5, 7, and 8 of this program. 8-: Folklore: We will bring famous folklore groups to provide music, song and dance (Dabka) every night of camping. 9-: Hotels: Range from 4*, 3*, HB. Lunches are taken at any of those famous restaurants in the area. 10-: Black Tent: Furnished with carpets, mattresses, lights, and baths (showers and toilets), beautiful like thousand night and night, in every place we camp. 11-:Entrance Fees: We will pay entrance fees for all tourist sites only. 12-: Ticket: We will confirm flight tickets. 13-:Visa and Exit Tax: We will prepare papers to allow discounted entrance visa to Jordan through Alia Airport or any other border post, for any group over 5 pax. 14- Arbitrators: Will control the marathon well experieced arbitrators to observe and select the winners among each team.

For those who want to extend their stay after this program is over, we will make special arrangements for them and take care of their visa extension. 2. For those who would like to capture the event on video, we will hire a specialized person to take shots and prepare a video tape for purchase at a discounted price.

What to Bring: For biking, bring a helmet, bicycle (or rent one from locals), short pants and good shoes. For hiking, bring hiking boots and shorts. Everyone should bring a sleeping bag.

Changes in Bookings & Late Bookings To ensure a reservation on before tour departing in 35 days or less, full payment is required at time of booking. Booking after deadline within 30- 14 days of departure is subject to a $15 late fee. Any change made in your reservation once submitted to us (this includes, but is not limited to, any change made in names, meals, dates, room selection, any additional night(s) needed or retracted and so on) is subject to a $35 change in reservation surcharge for each change made. A transfer of a confirmed reservation to another tour is subject to a $50 per person changing fee. Upon confirmation of your reservation, Rafeed Travel & Tours. will provide you with information that includes hotels, transportation, guidance and other accommodations. Obtaining travel and cancellation insurance is optional, but it provides excellent coverage in case of tour cancellation, accidents and so forth. Since we are not licensed as insurance agents to sell travel and/or cancellation insurance, we cannot purchase this for you. Rafeed Travel & Tours. retains the right to cancel a tour or trip under any circumstances. Should a tour or trip be cancelled, then you will be informed of this decision within 30 days or less prior to departure of your trip or tour in accordance to the reason of cancellation. Information regarding any of our trips or tours is subject to change, and we reserve the right to make changes should it become necessary. Thank you!

· Rafeed Travel & Tours acts as agent to accommodate transport companies, hotels and other contractors and shall not be held liable for any injury, death, damage, loss, delay or irregularity that may occur, or personal liability, medical expenses, repatriation and cancellation of tickets. · The traveler understands that during this type of adventure travel some risks and dangers may occur. The traveler agrees to assume all risks associated with this type of adventure travel. The traveler also understands that he or she is traveling in areas which may be remote, subject to varying climatic conditions or politically unstable. · We strongly recommend that the traveler buys a travel insurance before he or she leaves their home country. It should provide cover against theft, personal accident, injuries or death. · Rafeed Travel & Tours carries no comprehensive travel insurance. · Rafeed Travel & Tours reserves the right to amend an itinerary if conditions warrant. · In the unlikely event that a tour is cancelled, full refund of all payments will constitute full settlement with the customer. However Rafeed Travel & Tours. is not responsible for any additional expenses incurred by the traveller in preparing for the trip (e.g. non-refundable air tickets, equipment expenses, etc.). No refunds will be made if you leave a trip for any reason whatsoever, whether voluntarily or involuntarily, after the trip has begun. No refunds will be made for any accommodation, transport, sightseeing, meals or services not utilized because of traveller fault. · Rafeed Travel & Tours. reserves the right to decline to retain any person as a member of any party at any time if we feel that person mentally or physically incapable of continuing or that person hinders the operation of the tour. Under these circumstances refunds will not be given. Travellers agree to accept the authority of the Tour Guide or Group Leader.
