The Eastern Oregon Cycling Club and the City of Hermiston are hosting a Fall MTB Short Track/Cyclocross Series race this weekend in of all places, Hermiston. This will be the second race in the series and should prove to be an exciting one. (This one will actually have two sections of psychocross barriers). Beginners (11:00 a.m.), Sports (11:45 a.m.), and Experts (12:45 p.m.) will race 25, 35, and 45 min. respectively. Cost is $5. Directions: I82 to Oregon Exit #1. Follow Hwy. 395 to Hermiston. Turn west on Harper road and look for the bike race signs. If these directions confuse you, call Scott's Cycle & Sport in Kennewick @ 374-8424, or call Scott directly at (541) 567-2603. The next race in the series will be held December 29. The Tri-City Chinook club's fall MTB series fills the other weekends in the month of December.
